In collaboration with a consumer packaged goods company generating $47 million in annual revenue, Mohamed played a crucial role in creating and presenting documents and materials for their sell-side effort. His efforts assisted the owners in finding a strategic buyer upon their retirement.
In the realm of healthcare diagnostics, Mohamed led the restructuring of a company’s value proposition by implementing a strategic pricing strategy, laying the foundation for growth.
Presently, he holds the role of principal partner on a part-time basis at Key Bridge Capital (a division of Key Bridge Fund), an advisory firm focused on small to medium-sized businesses. In this role, he specializes in equity financing, growth strategies, operations management, and customer experience. Additionally, he engages part-time with the global freelance consulting firm Toptal, contributing by writing whitepapers on topics such as digital banking and analytics and developing structured client proposals.
Before venturing into consultancy, Mohamed gained 15 years of experience in the financial services sector, holding key roles at JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo. Notably, he spearheaded an enterprise-wide initiative focused on enhancing digital adoption, particularly in mobile services, while simultaneously reducing inbound calls to contact center operations. This initiative resulted in annual savings exceeding $50 million for each organization.
Prior to that, he spent two years consulting with the Oregon Department of Revenue, where he drove substantial operational and tax collection transformations. His strategic enhancements in processes and systems, coupled with an overhaul of performance management structures, led to a remarkable 30% reduction in accounts receivable (unpaid taxes), decreasing the total from $3.8 billion to $2.6 billion.
Mohamed holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and an MBA from Oregon State University. Additionally, he graduated with a Mathematics degree from the University of Oregon, where he excelled as a Track & Field athlete.
